Family & Personal Tapes to TransferIf you have video cassettes which require preserving, please read the information below. Video tapes come in a variety of types. The most common tapes used for private home recording were VHS, Betamax, VHS-C, SVHS, 8mm, Hi8, Digital 8. Mini DV, DV Cam, DVC pro are still widely used. (see tape types - PDF) Can't view the PDF? These tapes will all deteriorate with age due to a variety of factors.
